Making Progress...

Over the past couple of weeks, my sister seems to be the only person who has been able to get me to hit the streets it seems.  She came by to see the kiddos and then we decided to go to Rosa Mexicana to have drinks and made-to-order-right-at-your-table guacamole (my fave).  It's happening a bit slower this second time, but I'm making progress in getting back to my pre-preg weight.  I'm not really sure how many pounds I've lost, as I don't have a scale at home--but I use my clothes as a guide.  I still have a few (or more) pounds to go is what my favorite pair of jeans are telling me. haha  I'm quite pleased, though.

Almost 6 weeks post-preg (and yes, I love this baby blue leopard tank--you've seen it before)

Started off with 'ritas and ended with sangria!

My lovable sis, of course!

xoxo,
-Nik

  4. You look incredible! So glad you said you use your clothes as your gauge. I recently decided to get rid of my scale and focus on fitness goals instead of weight loss. Thanks for sharing!

  5. Hey Haute Momma! I see you switched up your "about me" but you will go down in history as the ultimate party girl:)

P.S. Change is good, Big HUgs!

  6. You.Look.Gorgeous! So happy for you! Are your braidouts done on blown out hair? You're inspiring me to get my body the way I want it to be. I need to go on a protein diet w/ green stuff.

  7. Thank you ladies!

No, my braidouts are done on wet hair. It's just I do them with 2 big french braids (see my previous french braid posts). I wear my hair in 2 french braids for a couple (to a few) days and then take it down for a braidout to wear for another 2-3 days. The waves look big because of only using 2 big braids that have been in my hair for a while.

  9. Wow Nik! You look amazing after having a baby. OMG! just unbelievable! Your braidout looks fabulous as usual! Just curious, do you put rollers on the ends of your frenchbraids?

  10. Thanks again, ladies.

Sometimes I put rollers on the ends, most of the time I don't. I didn't in the above picture. Through the years, because of flat ironing I'm assuming (no matter how infrequent I'd do it) my ends no longer curl up tight like it did when I first BC'd. It still curls, as you can see from some of my WnG posts, but no longer "spirals". So that's what you're probably seeing.

  11. Hi Nik!

I love your braid-outs, is there anyway you could do a tutorial, if I could get mine to look like yours I'd probably stop contemplating relaxers
